teaching: student work > Foundation (Freshman) Drawing - Alphabet project

I've been teaching Foundation (or, Freshman) Drawing since 2006. In the fall semester, students concentrate on learning basic drawing skills. In the spring, they are encouraged to be more creative, and to experiment with abstraction, Conceptual Art, and developing their own personal styles. This is a small gallery of student works. For now, the project that is featured is one where students were asked to design an alphabet. Other projects included students interviewing someone and telling their life story through drawings, and creating a drawing that in some way involved public participation. I hope to have pictures of those other projects soon.
